BRECKENRIDGE, Judge.

Mary Frost was convicted by a jury of murder in the second degree, § 565.021.1, RSMo 1994,1 and armed criminal action, § 571.015. She was sentenced as a prior offender under § 558.016 to a term of eighteen years’ imprisonment for the second-degree murder conviction and three years’ imprisonment for the armed criminal action conviction with the sentences to run concurrently. On appeal, Ms. Frost alleges that the trial court erred in refusing to instruct the jury on the offense of involuntary manslaughter, a lesser-included offense of murder in the second degree.
