In an indictment found by the grand jury for the parish of Lafayette, it was charged that B. J. Pellerin (the defendant), at the parish aforesaid (parish of Lafayette), on the 29th day of January, A. D. 1906, being then and there the duly authorized secretary of the Lafayette Building Association, a corporation duly organized under the laws of the state of Louisiana, and whose domicile is in the parish of Lafayette, state of Louisiana, and then and there employed and acting as secretary of said Lafayette Building Association aforesaid, and by virtue of said…
