This matter comes before the court pursuant to the plaintiffs December 18, 2001 motion for an award of prejudgment and post judgment interest (docket number 97) and the defendants’ December 19, 2001 motion for judgment as a matter of law or in the alternative for a new trial or remitti-tur (docket number 100).
