Office of Lawyer Regulation v. Stephen M. Compton

¶ 1. We review a report filed by referee James J. Winiarski recommending that the court reinstate, with conditions, the license of Stephen M. Compton to practice law in Wisconsin. After careful review of the matter, we agree that Attorney Compton's license should be reinstated and that conditions should be placed upon his resumption of the practice of law. We also agree with the referee that Attorney Compton should be required to pay the costs of this reinstatement proceeding, which are $4,373.03 as of March 11, 2013.
