BRETT, Judge.

Arthur Vernon Stacker, Plaintiff in Error, hereafter referred to as defendant, was tried in the District Court of Texas County, Oklahoma, for the offense of Forgery in the Second Degree, After Former Conviction of a Felony. Defendant was found guilty by a jury in a two-stage proceeding, and the jury assessed defendant’s punishment at thirty (30) years confinement in the State Penitentiary. Thereafter, this appeal was perfected to this Court.
