This was an action sounding in tort brought by appellee William E. Williams against the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad Company, the Chicago and Northwestern Railway Company and the Union Pacific Railroad Company to recover damages on account of personal injuries suffered by plaintiff while he was attempting to close a door on a boxcar owned by the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad Company.
