|! Defendant, Morehouse Parish Hospital Service District, d/b/a Morehouse General Hospital (“Morehouse”), appeals from an adverse judgment awarding plaintiff, M. Tahir Qayyum, M.D., A Professional Medical Corporation (“PMC”), $219,243.02. We affirm.

On September 26, 1997, Morehouse and PMC entered into a one-year contract in which PMC agreed to operate a hospital-based family practice clinic by providing a board certified physician, namely Dr. Qayyum, to work therein on a full-time basis.
