This is an appeal from the judgment of the District Court of Goodhue County awarding custody of a minor child to his parents. This is the second time this proceeding has reached this court. It was originally commenced by petition of Merlyn and Joyce Waslie, the parents of Michael, born December 13, 1950, in which they applied for a writ of habeas corpus directing the grandmother, Alice Waslie.; to yield custody. The trial judge found that the best interests of the child required that the custody be awarded to the parents. In the original proceeding, the child did not testify.…
