Plaintiff Avi Dorfman is a young entrepreneur who claims to be a former partner of defendant Robert Reffkin, the founder of the apartment search website Urban Compass. Plaintiff sues Reffkin and the company, accusing Reffkin of, inter alia, stealing proprietary information that helped Urban Compass reach a $360 million evaluation in 2014, only a year after it came to fruition.
