A bill was filed in the circuit court of Lee county July 13, 1921, by appellees, Melissa B. Hungerford and Frank B. Hungerford, her husband, praying for the specific performance of a certain contract entered into between them and appellants, Ed Behrends and Hannah Behrends, his wife, for the purchase of a farm of 300 acres about four miles north of Rochelle, in Ogle county, belonging to appellees. Appellants filed their answer to the bill and the cause was referred to a master to take proof. About the time of the hearing before the master a cross-bill was filed.; also certain amendments to…
