PUDLOWSKI, Judge.

This is an appeal by husband, W.C. Sykes, from the denial of a motion to set aside a default judgment in a dissolution action. Because service of process was not successful on husband and as such the trial court did not have jurisdiction over him, we reverse.

I. Background

In January 1995 Celestine Sykes (wife) filed a petition for dissolution of marriage. The petition alleged husband and wife had separated in December 1994 and that wife’s residence was 7500 Marillac Drive. Wife requested service on husband at the same address.
