The facts stated in plaintiff’s complaint, as amended, show, among other things, that the plaintiff is an association of eighteen persons, which at various times between the 29th day of October, 1895, and the 27th day of June, 1896, made advancements of money to the County Attorney of Salt Lake County, for the purpose of defraying expenses necessarily incurred by him in the execution of the laws of the State of Utah, in prosecuting certain ex-county officials, who were indicted for the crime of bribery, and that the total amount of money so advanced, together with interest, was $8,532.24;…
