This case involves the payment of a pension to Oliver A. White,- former police chief of Iowa City. -Mr. White became a member of the Iowa City Police Department in 1938 •and served until his retirement on January 8,1960. He had been patrolman,- detective and Chief of Police. Prior :to his appointment to the police department he. took a physical examination which showed him to be in excellent health.
