I. BACKGROUND
Plaintiff Nonie Pegoraro (“Pegoraro”) brought this action alleging that she was terminated from her employment by defendants in retaliation for engaging in whistle-blowing activities. Defendants are the City of New York (the “City”), the City’s Health and Hospitals Corporation (“HHC”), and cer*125tain HHC officials (collectively, Defendants”).
