MEMORANDUM AND ORDER

TOWNES, District Judge:

Petitioner Ronald Alston brings this petition for a writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254, challenging his July 13, 2000, conviction on two counts of robbery in the first degree and two counts of robbery in the second degree. Petitioner argues, inter alia, that the trial court violated his constitutional rights by granting the prosecutor’s reverse Batson motion and denying petitioner’s subsequent Bat-son motion and that both his trial counsel and appellate counsel provided ineffective assistance of counsel.
