The defendant appeals from a District Court judge’s denial of his motion to dismiss a probation surrender proceeding.
1. Background. The defendant was initially placed on probation on January 26, 1995. A District Court judge later found him in violation of his probation and, on September 9, 1996, ordered his probation extended, subject to certain additional conditions.
