The defendant (appellant) wag tried in the criminal court of Jefferson county, charged with buying, receiving, concealing, or aiding in concealing personal property of the value of $25, the property of James M. Shelburne, knowing that it was stolen and not having the intent to restore it to the owner. Defendant appeals from a judgment of conviction imposing a sentence of three years’ imprisonment in the penitentiary. The original indictment contained two counts. The first count charged the burglary of a dwelling house, but this charge was abandoned and is not involved in this appeal. The…
