This case arose out of alleged wrongful failure of an employer to renew plaintiffs contract of employment, followed a few days thereafter by discharge.
Plaintiff, Sherryl Goffer, was employed on the staff of Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University, a state supported university located in Huntsville, Alabama. She sued Carl Marbury, president of the university; Leon Frazier, executive vice president; Jay Chunn, vice president for academic affairs and research; and several members of the board of trustees.
