I. Background

Plaintiff’s complaint against defendants, whose law firm represented him in an underlying action, includes seven claims relating to legal malpractice. Plaintiff has alleged four categories of defendants’ failures in his underlying action. (1) Defendants failed to prosecute it with ordinary skill, competence, and diligence.
