Following his arrest for home invasion, defendant Earl Ross filed a motion to quash his arrest and suppress evidence, alleging that the police subjected him to an arrest before establishing probable cause in violation of the fourth amendment of the United States Constitution (U.S. Const., amend. IV). Following a hearing, the trial court granted defendant’s motion.
