Appellant, B. A. Knight, filed his bill in the circuit court of Winnebago county against appellee, Frank M. Blumenshine, for the cancellation of a certain contract, and for an accounting to ascertain what amount, if any, was due appellant upon the cancellation of the contract. Appellee filed an answer. There was a hearing in open court before the chancellor and a decree was entered finding that the contract was void from the beginning; that it had never been ratified by appellee; that there was due from appellant to appellee…
