Plaintiff below, the United States, brought an action in the district court of Canadian county to recover from the defendant, Joseph H. Warren, the sum of one hundred and twenty-five dollars and eighty cents claimed to have been erroneously paid to the defendant as compensation while he was clerk of the Second judicial district. .And to the petition of plaintiff, defendant, Warren, filed an answer setting forth substantially the same things as alleged in the petition of plaintiff, and the exhibits thereto attached, claiming a judgment against the United…
