Carley, Justice.

Antonio Anderson was convicted of malice murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony. The trial court imposed a life sentence for murder and a consecutive 20-year and 5-year sentence respectively for aggravated assault and the weapons offense. Anderson moved unsuccessfully for new trial, and now brings this appeal.
