This appeal is from a tax levied on the transfer of property by the death and last will and testament of George J. Gould.

The will of Mr. Gould set aside $4,000,000 in trust for his widow for life, over to their three children for life, remainder to their issue. The residue of the estate was given in trust for the testator's ten children for life (he had seven by his first wife), each an equal share, remainder to their issue.
