Lefcourt Appeal

Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, Bucks County

Decided February 5, 1970No. docket M-50Published

1Opinion of the Court

BODLEY, J.,

The auditor for the School District of Bristol Township, in its audit report for fiscal 1967-1968, surcharged the district’s tax collector, Harold Lefcourt, for alleged loss of interest upon sums collected but delayed in remittance to the district. Mr. Lefcourt appealed from the imposition of the surcharge and the matter is now before the court upon the school district’s motion to quash the appeal.

The only question before the court is whether or not the appeal, which admittedly was timely taken, should be quashed by this court because of appellant’s failure to file his appeal bond…
