This suit originated in the justice court. Chasteen sued Atchley and Chalk to recover the value of 1,500 pounds of seed cotton. On appeal to the county court, written pleadings were filed. In his answer, Chalk objected to the jurisdiction of the county court, because the transcript from the justice court did not show that a final judgment had been rendered in the case. A bill of exceptions reserved at the time shows the following proceedings:
