This is an action brought by Meyer & Dickinson, importers, against the collector of the port of Philadelphia, to recover an alleged excess of duties paid under protest on certain goods entered at the custom-house on various days in the months of March, April, and May in the year 1886. While the collector is the defendant named on the record, the United States are the real defendants.
