Chester Williams was convicted by a jury of felony murder, three counts of aggravated assault, and four counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. He appeals from the denial of his motion for new trial.

On the night in question, Williams had been out with a group of his friends at the Cool Inn in Washington, Georgia. Also congregated outside the Inn was a group of men from Elberton, Georgia.
