Defendant-appellant Robert Taylor was convicted after a jury trial in the Circuit Court of Madison County of the unlawful delivery of heroin, a controlled substance. He was sentenced to a term of three to nine years’ imprisonment.

The facts in brief are as follows. On August 27,1975, according to the testimony of the State’s witnesses, Taylor sold two small tinfoil packets of a brown powder to undercover agents of the Illinois Bureau of Investigation for *50.
