This action was to recover one thousand dollars, the par or maturity value of ten shares of stock issued by the defendant, five shares to the plaintiff and five shares that were assigned to her which were originally issued to one H. E. FTewton. The contract or certificates of shares made and issued by the defendant to the plaintiff and her assignor constituted them shareholders, and provided that in consideration of the membership fee of one dollar upon each share, together with the agreements and statements contained in the application for membership in the association, and full compliance…
