An action for slander. The complaint alleges that the plaintiff was supervisor of his town and was a candidate for re-election, when the defendant, who was health officer of the town, charged that plaintiff proposed to another town officer, the attorney for the town, that the two of them, plaintiff and such town attorney, buy a site (for a sewage disposal plant), take title thereto in a third person’s name, and then sell it to the town and make a “ bunch of money.”
