In an action to recover damages for personal injuries, etc., the plaintiffs appeal (1) from an order of the Supreme Court, Queens County (Huttner, J.), dated August 22, 2002, which denied their motion, in effect, to vacate the dismissal of the action and to restore the action to *674pre-note of issue status, and (2), as limited by their brief, from so much of an order of the same court dated December 4, 2002, as, upon reargument, adhered to its prior determination.
