I. Facts
This appeal arises out of a two-vehicle, rear-end collision that occurred on November 7, 2011 at the intersection of Flat-bush Avenue and Beverley Road in Brooklyn. The lead vehicle, a passenger van, was owned by the defendants Sunjet Express, Inc., and Petamar Prasad, and operated by the defendant Derrick Valentine Johnson (hereinafter collectively the Sunjet defendants).
