OPINION

NYE, Chief Justice.

This is an appeal from a conviction for aggravated robbery. Appellant pled guilty pursuant to a judicial confession and was sentenced to forty years in the Texas Department of Corrections.

In appellant’s sole ground of error, he asserts that the trial court erred in denying his motion to dismiss for violation of the Speedy Trial Act. This is the type of ground of error that can be raised on appeal in such cases. Martin v. State, 652 S.W.2d 777 (Tex.Crim.App.1988).
