TANNING, District Judge.

The plaintiff, as administratrix of the estate of Joseph D. Locke, Jr., deceased, brings this action against the' board of chosen freeholders of Atlantic county, N. J., to recover damages resulting from the alleged wrongful neglect of the defendant to repair a certain bridge in the highway known as “Meadow Boulevard,” over which the deceased was riding in an automobile. The gravamen of the plaintiff’s complaint is that the defendant wrongfully neglected to keep the bridge in repair, and that the plaintiff’s intestate was killed by reason of that negligence.
