This case was certified to us by the Arkansas Court of Appeals as one involving a legal principle of major importance. We accepted the certification with a view toward clarifying the requirements in our rules with respect to whether a defendant in a criminal trial conducted by a judge without a jury must apprise the Trial Court of the particulars of his or her claim that the evidence is insufficient to support a conviction in order to raise the issue on appeal.
