In April 1995, L.M.P. n/k/a L.M.K. (the “mother”) and M.P. (the “father”) had a child, D.P. In October 1995, the father was *1254killed in an automobile accident. His parents, G.P. and A.P. (the “grandparents”) desired to see their grandchild, but the mother refused visitation.
