Appeal from an order of the Family Court of St. Lawrence County (Catena, J.), entered June 15, 1998, which, inter alia, granted petitioner’s application, in a proceeding pursuant to Family Court Act article 6, for custody of one of the parties’ children.

The parties married in 1981 and divorced in 1992. Two of their three children, Michelle (born in 1981) and Amber (born in 1985), have resided with petitioner since 1992.
