This appeal from a long-running school desegregation case concerns an issue ancillary *249 to its merits: the reimbursement of expenses for a court-appointed oversight official. The district court ordered an increase in the official's compensation, which the school board appealed. The official represented his interests on appeal successfully. See Moore v. TangipahoaParish Sch. Bd. , 843 F.3d 198 (5th Cir.2016). Afterwards, he sought reimbursement of his appellate expenses, which the district court granted.
