This criminal appeal arises from the Third Judicial District Court, Parish of Lincoln, State of Louisiana. The defendant, Lance Andrew Johnston, was charged with one count of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling in violation of La. R.S. 14:62.2 and one count of attempted simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling in violation of La. R.S. 14:62.2 and 14:27. The state dismissed the first count.
