Claimant Jesse R. Rios appeals the administrative law judge’s (ALJ) finding of the percentage of impairment Rios suffered as a result of his work-related injury. The Court of Appeals, sua sponte, questioned its jurisdiction to determine the issue appealed because Rios had failed to request review of the ALJ’s award by the Workers Compensation Board (Board). This court transferred the case to its docket under the authority granted by K.S.A. 20-3018(c).
