On July 3, 1924, an initiative petition, demanding that a proposed measure repealing the Public Service Commission law of the State of Oregon be submitted to the legal voters of the state for their adoption or rejection at the regular general election to be held on November 4, 1924, was presented to the Secretary of State for filing. To initiate this measure it was necessary, under the statute, that the petition should be filed not later than four months before the date of the election and that it should be signed by not less than 13,498 legal voters and that of these signatures to the…
