This is an action for damages for personal injuries to plaintiff, resulting from a collision between the plaintiff's bicycle on which he was riding and the defendant's automobile driven by his negro chauffeur. The casualty occurred between five and six o'clock on May 13, 1920, on the west side of Grand Avenue at the intersection of the avenue with an alley, about 200 feet south of West Pine Boulevard.
