J. L. Ryan, charged with having murdered Rebecca Ryan, his wife, in September, 1867, in Oldham county, was arrested and brought before R. Lee and John W. Tucker, two justices of the peace of said county, as an examining court, for trial, who adjudged that he be held for trial in the circuit court; and on his failure to give bail in the sum of ten thousand dollars, fixed by them, he was committed to jail.
