On July 20, 1994, plaintiff Virginia Gould and defendant Tamxnie Jones were involved in an automobile accident. Defendant Brenda Latorre, who is Jones’ mother, held title to the car Jones was driving at the time of the accident. Nearly one year after the accident, plaintiff filed suit against Latorre and Jones, alleging both personal injury and property damage. Latorre was personally served with a copy of the complaint.
