— Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Suffolk County (Mclnerney, J.), rendered January 11, 1989, convicting him of arson in the third degree, upon his plea of guilty, and imposing sentence.
Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.
Contrary to the defendant’s contentions, the Supreme Court did not improvidently exercise its discretion in accepting the defendant’s plea of guilty without sua sponte ordering a competency hearing pursuant to CPL 730.30.
