On September 22, 1981, the debtor filed his voluntary petition under Chapter 13 of Title 11 of the United States Code. On May 4, 1982, the debtor filed a modification to his Chapter 13 plan wherein the debtor proposed, inter alia, to surrender a certain vehicle to General Motors Acceptance Corporation (“GMAC”), have the balance owed GMAC on its claim be allowed as unsecured, and change the payment provided to unsecured creditors from 100% of the allowed amount of their claim to 1% of the allowed amount of their claim.
