A state-court contract dispute between North Mississippi Savings & Loan Association, “Old North,” and Joseph M. Hudspeth took on new dimensions when the Federal Savings & Loan Insurance Corporation placed Old North in receivership and transferred its assets to a newly-created institution, New North Mississippi Federal Savings & Loan Association.
