This suit was instituted by the appellant against the appellee, which is alleged to be “an unincorporated voluntary Fraternal Beneficial Association duly organized and doing business in the State of Maryland.” The appellant claims that she is entitled, as the mother of John M. Littleton, to recover the sum of $500.00 by reason of the death of her son. It is conceded that he was a member of this order and that he was killed in an accident on the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad on December 15th, 1900, but it is contended that by reason of certain provisions in the constitution and by-laws of the…
