The. appellants, Mattie Brown and her husband, instituted this suit in the district court of Navarro count}' against the appellees for the recovery of an undivided one-half of a tract of land containing four hundred and eighty-eight and one-fourth acres; which interest in said land Mattie Brown claims to own, in right of inheritance from her mother, who died in August, 1862; alleging that said land was acquired during the marriage of her father and mother; was community property; that her father survived her mother; that defendants hold under conveyances through her father made after the…
